The area around the famous Nakhoda Mosque becomes the epicenter of celebration during this period. Zakaria Street, Colootola Street is transformed into a large scale market and this place become heavily crowded from the evening till late night and early morning. We visited this place to capture its essence and we could not stop ourselves from trying out the mouth melting kebabs, icecreams, sahi tudka, phirni, sweetmeats, and other street food. Not only people from Kolkata would visit this place, but even foodies and travellers worldwide visits here to enjoy the essence of itar in the air,the aroma of kebabs,the hustle and bustle of the vendors.
